Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 June 2026

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data Eventson collects, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and never sell your personal data.

1. Data we collect

Account details you give us (name, email, optional profile info); event and ticket activity (events you create, RSVP to, or attend); and technical data such as device, browser and approximate location used to show relevant nearby events.

2. How we use it

To operate the Service: to show you relevant events, process tickets, send reminders and important notices, prevent fraud, and improve the product. We rely on your consent, our contract with you, and legitimate interests as lawful bases.

3. Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We don't store full card numbers — Stripe processes card data under its own privacy terms. We retain order records needed for accounting and refunds.

4. Sharing

We share data with organizers for events you attend (e.g. your name on their guest list), and with service providers (hosting, email, payments, mapping) acting on our behalf. We disclose data if required by law.

5. Organizers and your data

When you follow a community or register for an event, the organizer receives the details needed to run it — such as your name, email and ticket or RSVP information — and acts as an independent data controller for their own audience. For these features Eventson acts as a processor on the organizer's behalf.

Eventson gives organizers tools to manage their audience like a newsletter: inviting and importing contacts, managing followers, and exporting their audience so they own that relationship. Organizers are responsible for having a lawful basis (such as consent) for any contacts they import, and for how they use data they export; Eventson is not responsible for an organizer's independent use of your data.

You can unfollow or unsubscribe from an organizer at any time and ask them to delete the data they hold about you. Email privacy@eventson.co and we'll help you reach the organizer or exercise your rights.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR and similar laws you can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to certain processing. Manage most of this from your account settings, or email us to exercise any right.

7. Retention

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data, except records we must retain.

8. International transfers

Where data is processed outside your region, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
